Project Overview

Jessica Isaacs (9501490)

 More Than Treble

For my 3019MAPA, I decided to create a portfolio of vocal exercises targeted toward those who would like to get into music performance and vocal training as well as those who need a platform to develop skills pre-acquired through other organisations, establishments or programs.

AD:
Good morning all, my name is Jess and thank you for choosing my programme "More Than Treble" to develop and advance your vocal training regimen and knowledge. The programme is free*, asynchronous, and lessons will be released every week, which will consist of:

  1. A written (audio described) overview of the exercise and any safety considerations
  2. The exercise itself - main focus on the techniques and how you can apply them in any given song
  3. Independent learning task

More Than Treble strives to help young people engage but also enjoy their journey within their personal vocal training and development. The exercises will run on different counts and difficulties - this is to ensure you are being challenged and learning new attributes of music and music performance.

Safety - Before you start this programme, it is important that you have a space either at home or school where you can complete the exercises - some exercises require you to stretch, adequate space = no injuries to those around you or yourself. If you live with a health condition such as asthma please pace yourself and please take breaks where you need to.

* - I offer a paid programme within the portfolio. The paid programme is a more face to face, interactive, comprehensive and informative provision and is carried out as 1-2-1 sessions via Zoom or Teams. The pricing for the paid programme is below this sector - I realise that due to the pandemic it is a lot harder for families to pay a substantial amount of money for extra tutelage, however, I believe that I have made the paid provision just as accessible as the free provision.

Within a paid programme, you will receive:
  1. Tailored content within your lesson
  2. A dedicated tutor who will answer any concerns as well as reinforce what you learn via the free programme
  3. Feedback on how to improve the key and subsidiary skills associated with music and music performance
  4. Weekly check-ins and flexibility when booking lessons
  5. Opportunities for assessments and further development
  6. Independent study tasks tailored to your level of difficulty and comprehension
  7. A breakdown of what was taught and a feedback sheet at the end of each lesson to reflect and develop on.
If you are interested in the paid provision, please email morethantreble@gmail.com with your name and your key stage to set up an introductory lesson and payment plan. I have enclosed the paytable below.
